Thanks Jens, Figured out two things were going wrong.1. As you mentioned, I needed to first create a zip file 2. The Atlassian-plugin.xml file was named incorrectly

Just for your note, I zipped up the contents using winrar, and renamed the file extension from .rar to .jar.
