Documentation references pages that I don't see in our Confluence Cloud account
Hi,
I am evaluating Scroll Viewport for our organizations documentation.
We would like to create our own theme, or adapt an existing one.
I found this page:
It says:
- In the space where you want to develop a custom theme, choose Space tools > Apps from the bottom of the sidebar.
- Choose Scroll Viewport.
- Create a viewport or choose Configure on an existing viewport.
-
On the Theme tab, choose ... on a theme and choose Edit.
Here is my issue:
In the Space we have set up for our documentation, I can't find "Space Tools". There are "Space Settings", but they don't include "Apps", just "App links". In there, there is an almost blank page that has only a single button saying "Go to Scroll Viewport". Following that link doesn't help me, all I can do there is edit the single preinstalled theme.
Here's a screenshot of the "App links" page:
Here's a screenshot of the page that I see when I click the link:
Question:
- Is the documentation outdated, or why is it referencing links and menu items that don't exist (anymore)?
- How can I actually get to the page(s) where I can copy Themes, edit them or create new ones?
Thanks,
Mathias

Hi Mathias,
From your doc link, it seems that you're looking at the documentation for the server version. You may find that the cloud version corresponds to what you see, for example: https://help-cloud.k15t.com/scroll-viewport/Style-and-Customize-a-Site.843515397.html
(we're using the Server version and are very happy with the Help Center Theme - hoping to move to cloud)
Best regards,
Dorte -
Hi Mathias,
I can only confirm: The link that Dorte shares is what you're looking for. Keep in mind that in the Cloud version of Scroll Viewport, you'll be working with our so-called Help Center Theme.
With the help of the app's visual theme editor, you'll be able to style and customize the help center theme's page templates in a way that best fits your brand and the requirements of your customers.
If reading through our documentation on how to Style and Customize your Viewport site you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Either here or via our by raising a ticket in our support portal.
Cheers,
Laura

Hi,
ok, so just to confirm: Using the cloud version of Confluence, I have no way to set up my own themes or even significantly alter your default theme. I have to work within the "Help Center Theme". Correct?
As the first immediate feedback: this was not clear to me when we bought the product. The documentation page I mentioned doesn't mention the words "server version" anywhere. I also did not stumble over a single page explaining this difference during the considerable time I spent in your documentation.
I will assess with my team whether the product still works for us, but this is disappointing. I highly suggest you explain clearly in your documentation which features are available for which version of your product.
