Scroll HTML exporter and videos
Hi,
In Confluience I have a big manual where I want to include videos. I am using the Multimedia macro. Everything is working in Confluence. Now I have to export everything to HTML with the Scroll HTML Exporter. Instead of the video it always shows a text that HTML5 is not supported.
I don't understand this. The video is shown in Confluence and in my HTML output there is only this text. And because the text is directly in my HTML output, it must be included by the transformation process. Otherwise it would be a result of the correct HTML tag.
How is it possible to include videos? I cannot put videos into YouTube or other Internet platforms.
Regards
Daniela

Okay, I saw, there is an update for the Scroll HTML Exporter. After installation I testet everything again. I get the same message. But when I choose the option to embed attachements then I get the video in my HTML structure and the link is working. It would be great if there could be a picture instead of this textual link in the online help. Is this possible somehow?

Hi Daniela, sorry it seems this post when under the radar and therefore you haven't received a response from us sooner. When embedding the multi-media video in your export, it is currently expected behaviour that this will be transformed into an attachment link in the generated export. Currently, we do not support thumbnail images for attachments in the export and we have an open feature request that relates here - https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-2869. Please login to your Atlassian account for our JIRA via https://k15t.jira.com/ in the top right hand corner (or alternatively sign up if you don’t have an account) in order to watch and comment on this issue. We'll then send a notification for every status update. Thanks, Thomas (K15t)
