Page breaks in word export

    Hi Marko,

Thanks for the post. Page breaks can be controlled in a couple of ways. The first of which is by enabling the page break option for your style, for instance Heading Level 1 / Scroll Heading 1. Within your export template you can modify the chosen Heading level style (see screenshot) and enable this option. Once enabled it will mean that a page break will be added each time before that style in the generated output.

Alternatively, you can also modify the export directly from the Confluence page by using the Scroll Pagebreak macro. This macro is bundled automatically on Confluence Server/Data Center or can be downloaded for free for Confluence Cloud. You can then add this macro directly on your page(s) to define where you want a page break to be initiated.

    Does this information help?

    Thanks, Thomas (K15t)

    Hi,

First of all, thanks for the prompt reaction!

I've managed it with the first solution. TBH the problem was that I didn't see styles related to scroll because they were hidden, and I was adding page breaks directly in the document so of course it was not affecting the export content :).

May I use this opportunity to ask you what is the easiest way to center the images when they are exported to word?

    Really appreciate your support!

    Regards,

    Marko

Hi Marko, thanks for the reply.

Great, I'm glad the information helped. In terms of centering images, if you have centered the image on the Confluence page, this alignment will then be preserved in the generated export. You would just need to use the standard Confluence editor option to apply this to the image.

If you have applied this setting and the image alignment isn't being preserved in the export, I would recommend reaching out to us via help@k15t.com and we can continue the discussion in a support case.

    Thanks, Thomas (K15t)

    Hi,

The thing is that if I center the image in Confluence, then it will look kind of wired in confluence. Usually images in confluence are always aligned on the left side. Any other solution?

    Hi Marko,

    Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, we don't have any controls for images/figures/diagrams within the template settings and preserve what is applied on the Confluence page.

We have an open feature request for controlling how images are exported from Confluence which you can track here - https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-2442

Please login to your Atlassian account for our JIRA via https://k15t.jira.com/ in the top right hand corner (or alternatively sign up if you don’t have an account) in order to watch and comment on this issue. We'll then send a notification for every status update.

If you have problem viewing this issue, please can you try opening a new incognito browser window and then select the link. Often, browser windows that are already signed into an account can cause some conflicts. Once viewing the issue you can select the login profile icon in the top right hand corner to sign into your Atlassian account or to sign up. After this, you can then watch the issue.

    Kind regards, Thomas (K15t)
