Hi Patrick, thanks for reaching out to us.

The Scroll Page Orientation macros (eg. Scroll Portrait / Scroll Landscape) are not compatible with other macros and therefore cannot be nested in other elements, such as the Section macro. This is the same behaviour for pages that use Confluence multi-column page layouts. You'd therefore need to ensure that the Scroll Macros are placed outside of any other element on the page to enforce the change in page orientation in the export. You can read more about this here.

    Kind regards, Thomas (K15t)

    Thanks for your reply Thomas.

Yeah I already found that info. What I am curious about, is wheter there is any way to place your macro outside the simple sections macro. Is there really no nasty trick to do so?

I know there is the more sofisticated sections/columns macro in confluence. I can do it with this, but for our authors it would be easier to use the simple section macro because you see more what you are doing.

    Thanks anyway!

    Hi Patrick,

    Thanks for the reply.

The Scroll Page Orientation macros can only be placed outside of other macros and cannot be used on pages using Confluence's multi column page layouts.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for this.

    Cheers, Thomas (K15t)
