[Scroll Word Exporter] GIFs exported as static images

Hello All!

When exporting Confluence pages with .GIF animated images, they appear as static images in exported documents.

Could you please suggest how to export them as animated GIFs as they are ?

  Hi Andrii, thanks for reaching out to us.

  Unfortunately, we don’t support the preservation of dynamic content such as gifs in the generated export and as a result this content will be transformed into a static PNG image.

  Hi Andrii, thanks for the reply.

  At the moment we don't have any plans to implement support for Gifs - generally speaking MS Word does not support animation or audio because it optimizes files for printing.

  However, if this demand changes and it remains technically possible to preserve the animation through the external library that we use to generate the exports, we will likely create a feature request that can be viewed in our public Jira.
