Shift+Return lines not recognized in PDF Export
What's the difference between Shift+Return and just Return, especially when exporting to PDF? I'm using numbers/bullets and to insert a blank line or to enter a line without a number/bullet but at the same time, preserve the numbering for subsequent lines, I use a Shift+Return. It looks just how I want it in Confluence. However, when I export to PDF, all of those blank lines from the Shift+Return are removed.
How do I get the PDF exporter to recognize the Shift+Return lines?

Hi there, thanks for reaching out to us. Following the submission of your support ticket (via help@k15t.com) I have also responded to you directly within this ticket.
As mentioned in this response, whitespace in general should be preserved when exporting from Confluence. However, we are aware of a few things that may impact this in the export, depending on your Confluence deployment type that you're using (eg. Cloud and/or Server). Therefore, to investigate this further it would be great if you could send us the requested information (XML export and Debug export) in the open ticket so that we can take a further look into the export behaviour you've experienced.

XML export - To export the content of a single Confluence page, please follow these instructions: https://help.k15t.com/creating-a-xml-export-of-a-single-page-111903666.html
-
Debug export - To generate a PDF debug export for your affected content please follow the steps outlined in this documentation - https://help.k15t.com/scroll-pdf-exporter/latest/server/how-can-i-perform-a-debug-export-130126576
Cheers, Thomas

Hi Jay,
As mentioned in your open ticket and for the benefit of this public thread, our developers have confirmed that the whitespace behaviour not being preserved is caused by a bug when exporting pages from the new Confluence editor with multiple successive empty paragraphs.
You can keep a track of the issue here. All going to plan we should be deploying the new version which includes the fix to cloud by the end of this week: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-3113
For now, to workaround you can actually use soft line breaks (shift + enter) to improve the output (preserve the whitespace).
Cheers, Thomas (K15t)
