How is backbone trigger the synchronization?

As my setup the synchronization from SD to JS with workflow include Approval step.

Backbone din't sync when Approver perform the Approval  transition from Service Desk portal,

  thank you for reaching out here on the forum!
  I believe this is the same problem you described in the support ticket right? If so, we are currently working on that and as you helped us discover the problem was probably due to a post function.

  If I misunderstood and this about a different topic, then let me know so we can have a further look.
