Hide unpublished content from version visible in ViewPort
Hi!
We are trying to set up the "Public master space" approach with a single space containing multiple versions for our public documentation. This works great, except for one very important detail:
When a version is exposed to ViewPort, anonymous users can se unpublished changes for that version!
We have defined anonymous view privileges for our space, as setting anything else will require all users to log in to view the documentation. However, we only want our published content to be viewable to all users - naturally. (We also tried setting explicit Roles and Permissions, but that didn't seem change anything. Neither did adding the Workflow functionality.)
How can we hide unpublished changes and still allow anonymous read access for a version in ViewPort?
Kind regards,
Tormod

Hi Tormod,We use the Private Master approach because it helps to avoid many permission problems. But I think if you use the public master approach and additionally activate Scroll Viewport in the master space, then you don't need to publish the current version. You would then either have to work with intermediate versions that you hide for anonymous users. Or you would have to hide a version until it is completely finished.
In my experience, I can only recommend working with the Private Master approach.
Greetings
