Theme properties file in web help theme
Hi,
I followed the instructions for Theme Properties and created a properties file in a copy of the Web Help Theme for testing purposes. But then I followed a different solution and deleted the properties file again. The result was that the Viewport Control Opener now has the look of the Help Center Theme.
If this is the only change, that's fine. But if it means that by using a properties file once, you turn the theme in the background into a Help Center Theme, which might react completely different in some cases, then you should definitely write this in the instructions.
The general question would be: What distinguishes the themes in the background? How does the system recognize whether it is a Help Center Theme or a Web Help Theme? My specific question is: How do I get the Viewport Control Opener that matches the Web Help Theme back?
Thanks,
Volker

Hi Volker,
Sorry for the late response. Looks like something went wrong in with our notifications.
The themes are independent of each other and it is not possible to switch a copy between the two of them. When copying a Web Help theme, it stays the Web Help Theme and the same goes for Copies of the Help Center Theme.
However, when we introduced the Help Center Theme we changed the default Viewport Control Opener to the style of the Help Center Theme. So it looks like now your theme uses the standard Viewport Control Opener instead of the one configured in the Web Help Theme.
If the problem still persist, you can open a support ticket so that we can investigate your theme further.
Cheers,
Emre. -
Hi Emre,
okay, thanks, so the notifications were in quarantine ;-).
Right now I'm just testing and it doesn't bother me that much that I create a support ticket for the described issue.
But in any case, it doesn't seem to be an expected behaviour that the control panel changes when the properties file is used once and then deleted.
It somehow seemed to me that the presence of any properties file makes the system think it is the Help Center Theme. If this is not the case, I won't need a support ticket.Greetings,
Volker
