Is 'Browse' button for creating links part of Versions?

Hello! Can someone tell us if the Browse button when creating a link in Confluence came with Scroll Versions? We removed Versions on one of our Confluence instances and notice the Browse button is gone. We made several changes, however, and we are not sure when the Browse button disappeared.

  Yes, Browse button comes with Versions. 

  May I ask why won't you no longer use Versions on one of your instances?
