Push/Pull in Backbone Issue Sync

Hi, I have one question regarding your Backbone Issue Sync Jira Plugin. When installed on two Jira instances do you use a pull machanism to get the changes from the other system or is a push machanism implemented on both sides?

  Hi Dirk,

  I'm sorry for the delay in our response. We've been quite busy with the Atlassian Summit recently.

  We have two configuration types:

  • Centralized configuration
    You configure everything in one Jira and all changes are being pulled from the other Jira or are being pushed to it. No configuration needs to be done in the other Jira and no network traffic needs to be allowed from the other Jira.
  • Distributed configuration
    You configure a part in each Jira and changes are being pulled locally and then send via an email or file to the other Jira.
