Text for link to articles is always in German. Is there a way to change it to English?
Hello,
we are using Scroll Versions, Scroll Viewport and Scroll Translations for our product documentation.
We have 2 languages: German and English
When I started to use Scroll Translations, I have set "German" to be the default language. So English is the translated language.
I have noticed that the links to the documentation (published by Scroll Viewport) is always showing the German text -- the chosen language does not seem to matter.
When our sale department is sending links to our customers, unfortunately these German texts in the links are often causing some irritation.
Compare:
- The link to a published German article is http://help.logicals.com/lco3docu/latest/user-documentation/de/kurzanleitungen
- The link to the same article but in English is http://help.logicals.com/lco3docu/latest/user-documentation/en/kurzanleitungen
Our English customers would rather expect a link with an English text, such as http://help.logicals.com/lco3docu/latest/user-documentation/en/tutorials
However, this link does not work even though "Tutorials" is the translated text for the article.
Is there a simple way so that the English (translated) texts would also work for the links?
Cheers,
Eva

Hi Eva,
this is the current behavior when using Viewport with translated space. Because actual Confluence page titles are based on a default language, the links are using German in this case to generate the URL.
We have an existing feature request to improve this, but there is no ETA yet: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VPRT-992.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Roman.
