    Hi Paul,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

At the moment, we don't have any plans to change the default behaviour for this option in the Scroll Table Layout macro. The exporter specific option to Use style from Word file for table styling is something new that was introduced. This is why we kept the option Use style from Confluence page as the default behaviour, to prevent any changes for users' exports that were already using this macro on their pages.

Were you having to change a lot of pages since we introduced this new option?

    Cheers, Thomas (K15t Software)

    Hi Thomas,

    Thanks for your response.

I understand why it is necessary for you to keep the default behaviour the way it is, but I wonder if it's possible to introduce a global or space-wide setting to address this?

Yes, we do have to change a number of pages; we will also have to re-train users to change this setting in the macro each time, and even then we will have to look out for tables that have fallen through the style-changing cracks.

    Cheers

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for your response.

At the moment, we don't intend to introduce a new option which would allow users to set a global/space default for this specific macro setting. However, I can understand why such an option would be of benefit for your use-case.

If there are any planned updates in relation to the Scroll Table Layout macro which would relate to the Table Style option, I will update this thread accordingly.

    Thanks, Thomas (K15t Software)
