disabling full urls from showing on pdf footnotes
hi,
how can i disable the full urls from being added as footnotes on pdf export?

Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for your post.
If you disable the option 'Optimize export for printing' which can be found within the Print options tab (prior to exporting), this will prevent the footnotes being added at the bottom of the PDF export.
Is this what you required?

yes and no :)
while full urls don't appear in footnotes, disabling that option also disables another great feature which is the suffix.
is there a way to disable the one without the other?my issue with the full urls is that sometimes they take up a lot of space in the exported page, so i was looking to have better control of that. additionally, seemingly full urls within the page that begin with 'www' still get optimized during the export process just by adding the 'http' suffix to them, which sometimes seem redundant.

Hi Benjamin,
Thanks for your response.
At the moment, there is not an option available that will prevent URL footnotes from being added without affecting the link suffix.
Within our JIRA system, we currently have an open improvement that relates to introducing a Scroll macro that would allow users to define how footnotes are exported.
You can track this here: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-2562
I have included a note in relation to your requirement for the option to better control how the linked URL's are formatted in the exported footnotes.
Unfortunately, I am unable to provide a time-frame in regards to when this may be focussed on. However, please sign up to our JIRA (via k15t.jira.com) in order to watch, comment and/or vote on this issue. We'll then send a notification for every status update.
