How to use Confluence excerpts for pages with permissions in Scroill versions
Hi,
We have setup some restrictive permissions on our documents also for viewing.
We do not use a publish flow. We have setup multiple versions.
I made a new page with an excerpt defined. I have an existing page where I included the excerpt. Both in the same version.
Both the new page and the existing page have the same permissions set. For me as an editor everything looks ok. The customer log in, can get the new page directly but when retrieving the page with the excerpt it gives an error "Page cannot be found"
Does anyone have a clue what might go wrong here?
Thanks in advance
Jeroen

Hi Roman,
Thanks for your response. In the mean time I found the post explaining about which macro are advised to be used and which not. I was using the Confluence multi excerpt and I know now we should not do that.
To answer your questions:
- No we only used Confluence roles
- Yes the customer can open the page with the excerpt direct
Cheers,
Jeroen

Hi Jeroen.
Am I correct that you were using Multi Except macro by Artemis (https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/169/multi-excerpt?hosting=cloud&tab=overview)? Scroll Versions is not compatible with this app.
We have a support article on how to include content and use in the versioned space: https://help.k15t.com/scroll-versions/latest/intro-to-content-re-use-121930288.html.
Does this information in the article help you achieve what you want?
Cheers,
Roman.
