Best practice for multiple products, different versions?

I'm doing a proof-of-concept for Versions. I'd hoped to manage all of our product documentation in a single space, to simplify content sharing. However, our products all have completely different versions and releases. 

Do I handle all version numbers as attributes (bleh), or is there an easy way to share content among multiple spaces?

  Hi Mary,

  thanks for contacting us and your interest in Scroll Versions.

  I wouldn't recommend to manage products with different release dates (and versions) within one single space, as is pretty hard to handle (as you'll soon have too much different versions, depending on your release cycles).
  Would it be an option to have an own space per product? It would be great if you could further describe your use case. How many pages do you want to share across the different products, can you estimate that? Does this content need to be versioned?
