Page tree (left hand side) not displayed for Wiki-User

Hi all

I tried setting up a real-life Scroll Versions space with all 3 types of users (doc-admin, author, wiki-user). Everything works as expected for the first 2 roles, but I have a problem with the 3rd. The pages are displayed correctly (correct published version, without the versions bar at the top). But the navigation tree on the left is not working.

The tree just shows "Error loading children.". And in the server side logs I have exceptions (see below). Obivously it is some kind of permission problem. But I have given the user in question "View" and "Add comment" permissions. That's actually what I want to give them, but apparently it is not enough.

Any idea what permission is missing?
