How do you create an index static page?
The documentation indicates that to have an index in an EPUB you must create an index static page. The Tip on page http://www.k15t.com/display/EPUB/Indexing+Terms has a broken link on it titled "create an index page" that I would expect would explain how to do this if the link actually pointed to a real page (I did a search for it but couldn't find it). The Defining Static Content page explains a little, but it only explains how to add a title page, not an index. I assume there must be some specific Velocity code associated with generating an index, but I have no clue where to start. Can you point me in the right direction or share an example?

Hi Roy,
Thanks for the information, I'll change the visibility of the page. Creating an index with the Scroll EPUB Exporter is currently not possible, the page should not be visible in the documentation.
We already tracked the functionality to have an index page in our JIRA system: https://k15t.jira.com/browse/EXP-315
Please watch and / or vote the issue.Sorry for the confusion.
Cheers,

Wow - that's disappointing. Especially since it is listed as one of the 4 major features of the product: http://www.k15t.com/display/EPUB/Index+Support
It seems like the documentation should mention this limitation outright and not suggest that indexing is possible by means of labels or with the {Index-term}-macro as it implies in this section: http://www.k15t.com/display/EPUB/Indexing+Terms. Fortunately, we have not wasted a lot of time adding that macro to pages, but we were on the brink of it. So it is good to know we would be wasting our time.
BTW - Shouldn't the Jira issue be listed as a defect rather than an improvement since the product is advertised to have this feature? I would think this would be getting the highest priority to get addressed or you should remove the it from the feature list and stop all references to it in the documentation.
I will make that comment in Jira and vote on it.
Thanks.
