    Have you already had a look at our documentation regarding the numbering of headings?

    Using the CSS rules displayed above, you can customize how to change the numbering and control which sections should be numbered and which one not.

    Does that help? If you need further support, please attach your PDF template and we'll be able to have a closer look at your settings.

    Hi Nils,

    thank you for your response. Sorry I have to fully explained myself. I am well aware howto to use css to customize the sytle of heading. That is not the point.

    As you can see in  numbering of headings and common-heading-numbering.css, you define heading numbering just for h1.section-heading. When creating an export with the standard template plus "section as tables" enabled, the class for the heading elements in section macros is just called "heading" there is no "section-heading" class. This creates an inconsistent DOM. I have attached an xhtml file of the export.
