Is there an way to hide Headings with a h5 or h6 tag in the TOC?

Hello,

is there an way to hide Headings with a h5 or h6 tag  in the TOC?
I find out how to limit the level of  headings.
But when I limit it to four levels, heading with a h5 tag always display, if there not enough heading with lower tags.

  Hello Nils,

  yes I see this page, but  It don't solve my problem.

  When I limit the levels of headings to four, always the first four headings are shown, with any h-tag.  

  I want that the headings with the h5 or h6 tag never shown in the TOC.

  Hi Stephan,

  when there are no levels h1, ..., h4 before your levels h5 or h6 then I think that they are automatically "promoted" to higher levels, so they appears in the PDF.

  As I remember this "mechanism" is described somewhere in the documentation. Thus, I strongly suspect that is impossible to achieve what you want... :(
