    Hi Martin,

    thanks for contacting us.

Our Scroll Exporters do not use any Confluence permissions. The simple rule is: If you can view a page, you are allowed to export it with our Exporters.
We decided to not implement any permission checks, as users are always able to save (and / or print) any Confluence page they can view with standard browser functionality.

    I hope that helps.

    Cheers,
    Nils

    Hi Nils,

thanks for the feedback.I see a bit of a difference here: Since you can select to export a page and all of its children you can effectively easily export a space (and that is quite a difference to individually printing every single page of a large space).

Unfortunately we also made the experience that doing so you can easily kill confluence: massive consumption of memory - as a negative side-effect, Java Garbage Collection will run continuously and thus make Confluence unresponsive. Not directly k15t's fault, but in that way you make using your plugin a performance risk for larger instances.

Do you think we could use http://www.k15t.com/display/OFCE/Enabling+only+one+Exporter+for+Certain+Spaces to minimize this risk?

We have disabled the plugin for now and are thinking about how to work around it. I hope we won't have to abandon it completely.

    Hi Martin,

our developers are already in contact with the Atlassian Expert managing your Confluence system, as they've opened a support request in our support system. We are already working on a fix that will be implemented in an upcoming release.

In the meantime you can either go ahead with the mentioned workaround, or you could deactivate the default Export Schemes (see http://www.k15t.com/display/pdf/Disabling+Templates or http://www.k15t.com/display/SUPPORT/Disabling+Default+Export+Schemes+on+space+level) and only provide an Export Scheme that will export single pages.

    Cheers,Nils
