Missing Pictures in Exported pdf
Hello everyone,
i recently joined a new project and found some peculiar issue. I am not sure if this is Exporter-related or not. Scroll Plugins used are translation tool and Versions.
If I Insert a picture from the database it SOMETIMES does not export to pdf. Instead there is just a small black border with a blank space where the picture is supposed to be. In the editor these pictures are visible. I would say something around 20% of the pics are affected. There does not seem to be any "rule" which pictures will fail. The project itself is quite old and has been migrated to newer confluence versions multiple times. Current Confluence is Version 6.2.2.
Sometimes even pictures uploaded to the site in EN (primary language) fail when inserted in Spanish or whatever. (via Insert pictures --> from this site)
Also pictures are in the database but not every pictures can be found(via Insert picture --> search on other sites). If you know the hyperlink it still works fine (see second workaround)
There are some work-arounds:
- use the old and deprecated export templates. These work flawless but can not be edited anymore
- right click onto the picture in the editor --> copy image adress --> editor insert new picture --> choose "from internet adress" --> insert copied adress--> hit ok
The second option is really strange as it points exactly to the same adress?!?! I dont have a problem with this solution but I fear it will create problems down the line. Will it?
Has anybody a suggestion how I should proceed?
Kind regards
Olga
PS: On a side note if anyone has a good idea how to mass migrate pictogram tables to other languages with the tranlation tool I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Olga.
If you are using Scroll Translations, there is no need to upload images to different languages. technically all languages are macros on the same Confluence pages. Therefore, if you upload an image while having one language selected, it will be available in all other languages.
To reproduce the behaviour with missing images, would it be possible to send me your custom PDF template and space export to support@k15t.com?
Cheers,
Roman.
