We are using the "page layout" feature of confluence to include navigation panels with every help article. (Like Atlassian does e.g. here: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/comment-on-pages-and-blog-posts-724765350.html, the "on this page" and "related pages" panel).
When using the PDF export I would like to exclude the sections containing the navigation panel on the right (as it is made redundant by the ToC, costs space and tends to look pretty awful due to formatting).
I am aware that I can hide the panel macro with the respective macro, however the then empty page layout section remains active, resulting in some wasted page space.
Is there any possible way to exclude specific sections of the page layout or focus on the contents of a section during export?
