"Keep Permalinks" in publishing dialog

Hi,

what exactly is the use of "Keep Permalinks" in publishing dialog? In English it says "Keep permalinks of the original language". In German it says "Permalinks der original Seite behalten". "Seite"="page" not "language". (I know the ticket https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VSN-2831)

What happens to the target spaces page titles and permalinks in the original language and in the other languages if I activate this option?

  Hi Volker,

  Select this check box to keep the permalink of the original language in the existing space. When you select this check box, the Confluence page title in the existing space will be the one from the original language. When you do not select the check box, the title of the published language is used. When changing the selection of this check box, all pages will be renamed.

  thanks for the answer. Has this option only a relevance in combination with Scroll Translations?

  My problem is the renaming of pages. I thought, I could handle this with this option.

  I will describe my problem in another ticket.

  Hi Volker,

  Yes, this option is only relevant if you're also using Scroll Translations in that space.

  We have an open improvement in our JIRA System (see https://k15t.jira.com/browse/VSN-2721) to hide this option if only Scroll Versions is activated in the space.

  If you're only using Scroll Versions (without Scroll Translations), you can ignore this option in the publishing dialog and activating it does not have any impact.
